Go Ape Alexandra Palace

About

Go Ape Alexandra Palace is North London's premier outdoor adventure destination, offering exhilarating treetop challenges set within the stunning grounds of the iconic Alexandra Palace park. This high ropes adventure course provides families with an unforgettable experience featuring tree-to-tree crossings, Tarzan Swings, and epic zip lines with panoramic views across the city. Whether you're seeking an adrenaline-pumping day out or a unique birthday celebration, Go Ape delivers memorable adventures in the heart of Haringey.

The venue offers five distinct adventure experiences to suit different ages and abilities. The entry-level Treetop Adventure (from £23.95) is perfect for young children aged 4-10 who are over 1m tall, providing 60-90 minutes of forest fun. Children aged 6+ over 1.2m can step up to Treetop Adventure Plus (from £28.95), whilst the flagship Treetop Challenge (from £39.95) is designed for adventurers aged 10+ ready to tackle the most demanding high ropes course. For those short on time, Challenge Xpress (from £32.95) offers a condensed experience without compromising on thrills. All adventures feature professional safety briefings, harness equipment, and the chance to swing through the treetops like never before.

Go Ape Alexandra Palace caters brilliantly for families with children across a wide age range, from 4 years right through to adults (the upper age limit is officially 94!). The venue is particularly popular for birthday parties, with optional party bags (£5 each) and gloves available to purchase. Picnic benches are scattered throughout the forest and park, with some locations offering forest shelter or party rooms available to hire by calling ahead. The courses operate in all weather conditions except thunderstorms, thick ice, and gales, so it's worth bringing waterproof clothing and wellies during wetter months.

Practical amenities make visiting straightforward for London families. The East Court car park at Alexandra Palace is closest to Go Ape, with parking operated by Alexandra Palace and payable on exit via machines or the ECP parkbuddy app. Public transport users will find Alexandra Palace station less than 10 minutes' walk away. Public toilets are located beside the Boathouse Café (open 10:00-17:30), with accessible toilets and baby changing facilities available in the East Court foyer. While Go Ape's cabin sells soft drinks and confectionary, the nearby Boathouse Café offers hot drinks and light lunches, with several other food outlets throughout the park. The site is accessible via step-free tarmac paths on a gentle gradient, and dogs are welcome throughout the park. All activities require advance online booking, with typical visits lasting around 2 hours including harnessing, safety briefings, and certificate collection.
